An inspiring, engaging and insightful afternoon!
On Tuesday, March 18th, we officially kicked off our first event at TWD’s office in Rotterdam! Together with our founding initiators—Breman Machinery B.V., ECHT regie in transitie, Eager.one, Iv, KenzFigee, MeeMaken, TWD & Van Oord— alongside our founding supporters, supporting associations, and industry professionals, we engaged in insightful discussions about circularity and sustainability within our sector.
Our host of the afternoon, Roy op het Veld, guided the event seamlessly; welcoming guests together with Niels Rombout (TWD), introducing speakers, and keeping the audience engaged throughout. Additionally, we had the pleasure of hearing from Derk-Jan van Heerden (Aethos), who shared interested insights on sustainability and the recycling of aircrafts.
Through an interactive interview and discussion with four of our initiators, the attendees got a deeper look into Re-Quip Foundation and our mission. Alongside, the afternoon was filled with interesting talks from Nina Vielen-Kallio (ECHT), David Molenaar (X seventy-one), Sylvia Boer (Maritime Sisters), Jan Vos (NedZero), Michiel Kraak (CCM), Nimmi Sreekumar (TWD) and Daniël Biegel (Heerema). We ended the afternoon by welcoming our newest Founding Supporters, a huge milestone in growing our community and impact!
A big thank you to everyone who joined us this afternoon! This is just the beginning, stay tuned for more as we work together to drive positive change ♻️
