On Tuesday, March 18th, we officially kicked off our first event at the TWD office in Rotterdam! Together with our founding initiators—Breman, ECHT, Eager.one, IV, KenzFigee, MeeMaken, TWD & Van Oord—alongside our founding supporters, supporting associations, and other industry professionals, we engaged in insightful discussions about key sector challenges.

Our host, Roy op het Veld, expertly guided the event—welcoming guests alongside Niels Rombout from TWD, introducing speakers, and keeping the audience engaged throughout. We also had the pleasure of hearing from Derk-Jan van Heerden from AETHOS, who shared fascinating insights on sustainability and airplane recycling.

The audience was given the opportunity to explore the foundation’s ambitions in more detail, ask questions, and connect with the founding initiators and our (soon-to-be) founding supporters. The afternoon was filled with interesting talks from Heerema,  ECHT, Maritime Sisters, NedZero, CCM and TWD.  To top it all off, we ended the day on a high note by welcoming our newest Founding Supporters—a huge milestone in growing our community and impact!
